There’s nothing constant but change.
However, sometimes those changes are incredibly hard to adapt to or accept. Whether it’s starting a new job, experiencing the loss of a loved one, a big move, marriage, divorce or entering parenthood, change is all around us. Sometimes these changes can leave us feeling anxious, depressed, angry or confused. You may notice changes in your mood as a result of these life changes. Do you find yourself having difficulty getting out of bed? Are you experiencing racing thoughts? Are you having feelings of loneliness or isolating yourself from others? It may be possible you are experiencing what is considered an adjustment disorder.
Adjustment disorders occur when there is a recent life stressor that creates distress and impacts your day-to-day functioning. Essentially You is here to help guide you through those changes; whether it’s offering a kind, supportive ear or exploring new ways to cope with these changes, we will help you get through this. Sometimes that first step in asking for help is the most important, and it takes the most courage. You will get through this, and you do not have to go through this alone.
Your mental health starts with you. Let us help you on your journey.
