FAQ

1. What is a mental health group practice?
A group practice brings together multiple mental health professionals who practice within the same organization.

Rather than relying on one therapist, patients may have access to professionals with different specialties, approaches, and areas of experience.

2. Why choose a group practice instead of an individual therapist?
One potential advantage is access to a broader team.

If your needs change, your therapist becomes unavailable, or you need a different specialty, a group practice may be able to offer additional options without requiring you to start your search from the beginning.

3. What makes your practice different from an online therapy platform?
Online platforms can make it convenient to connect with a therapist, but convenience is not the only consideration when choosing mental healthcare.

Our practice combines the convenience of telehealth with access to a broader clinical team and the option for in-person care.

Our goal is to provide individualized mental healthcare based on your needs – not simply match you with the first available provider.

4. How are your therapists selected?
Our practice brings together mental health professionals with different backgrounds, areas of expertise, and clinical interests.

When matching you with a therapist, we consider your needs and goals as well as the therapist’s experience and availability.

5. Do you offer specialized therapy?
Our group practice includes therapists with different areas of experience and specialties.

Because we have a broader team than a typical solo practice, we can often help connect you with a therapist whose experience more closely matches your specific needs.

6. Can I see another therapist at the practice if my needs change?
Yes, when clinically appropriate and subject to availability.

One benefit of a group practice is that you have access to therapists with different areas of expertise. Your needs may change over time, and your care can change with them.

7. What happens if my therapist leaves the practice?
If your therapist is no longer available, our team can help you explore options for continuing care.

As a group practice, we may be able to help you transition to another therapist within our practice who is appropriate for your needs.

8. Will AI be used in my therapy sessions?
No. Your therapy sessions are conducted by your mental health clinician. We do not use artificial intelligence to conduct, replace, or independently provide your therapy sessions.

Your treatment is based on the relationship between you and your clinician, including your clinician’s professional judgment, experience, and understanding of your individual needs.

If technology is ever introduced into your care in a way that affects your treatment or the handling of your information, we will provide appropriate information about its use and privacy implications.

Your care is personal. Your therapist is a person – not an algorithm.

Your mental health starts with you. Let us help you on your journey.
