Masters Level Therapist | Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor | Spanish Speaking

Bloomingdale/Bolingbrook

Throughout the many years I have been in this field, I have worn multiple hats. I have experience in residential, detox, substance, PHP, IOP, outpatient, inpatient, and crisis work. I have found much joy working with wonderful people spanning from young children to experienced adults, individually and with families. I aim to be the pillar of support and the calm in the storm that people seek in times of need. I work with clients to identify their needs, create goals and give clients the confidence to achieve the change they wish to see. I am an optimist but realistic person and my therapy modalities reflect that.

Why I Chose to Become A Therapist

Personally coming from a family with a lot of mental health issues extending the many roots of our family tree, I worked hard to be the source of serenity that my family has long needed. I am a bilingual [Spanish] Mexican woman, I am the proud wife of a Marine Veteran, and the mother of a beautiful little girl. They have motivated me to be someone that others can come to for help.

FAQ

1. How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of successful treatment. We consider factors such as your concerns, goals, preferred therapeutic approach, availability, location, etc.

If you’re unsure who would be the best fit, our team can help guide you.

2. How are your therapists selected?
Our practice brings together mental health professionals with different backgrounds, areas of expertise, and clinical interests.

When matching you with a therapist, we consider your needs and goals as well as the therapist’s experience and availability.

3. Will I have a real person helping me choose a therapist?
Yes. If you aren’t sure where to start, our team can help you navigate the process.

You don’t have to search through dozens of therapist profiles and try to determine on your own who might be the right fit.

4. Can I request a specific therapist?
Yes. You may request a specific therapist if you have someone in mind.

If that therapist isn’t available or isn’t the best clinical fit, our team can help identify another therapist who may be appropriate.

5. What if my therapist isn’t the right fit for me?
Finding the right therapeutic relationship matters.

If you don’t feel that your therapist is the right fit, we encourage you to communicate with us. Because we are a group practice with therapists who have different specialties and approaches, we may be able to help you find another therapist within our practice who better matches your needs. You should never feel that you have to stay with a therapist simply because you started with them.

6. Can I see another therapist at the practice if my needs change?
Yes, when clinically appropriate and subject to availability.

One benefit of a group practice is that you have access to therapists with different areas of expertise. Your needs may change over time, and your care can change with them.

7. What happens if my therapist leaves the practice?
If your therapist is no longer available, our team can help you explore options for continuing care.

As a group practice, we may be able to help you transition to another therapist within our practice who is appropriate for your needs.

8. Do I have to know exactly what I need before contacting you?

No.

You don’t need to know your diagnosis, treatment plan, or even which type of therapist you need before reaching out.

That’s part of what our team is here to help with.

Your mental health starts with you. Let us help you on your journey.
