FAQ

1. How do I get started with therapy?
Getting started is easy. Contact our practice to request an appointment, and our team can help you determine the best next step based on your needs, availability, insurance, and preferences.

If you’re not sure what type of therapist or service you need, that’s okay. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Our team can help connect you with a therapist who is a good fit.

2. What if I don’t know what kind of therapy I need?
You don’t need to diagnose yourself before contacting us.

During the initial process, we’ll learn more about what you’re experiencing and what you’re hoping to accomplish. From there, we can help determine which type of therapist or service may be most appropriate.

3. How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of successful treatment. We consider factors such as your concerns, goals, preferred therapeutic approach, availability, location, etc.

If you’re unsure who would be the best fit, our team can help guide you.

4. Do you offer in-person therapy?
Yes. We offer in-person appointments at our Illinois locations, Bloomingdale and Bolingbrook subject to therapist availability.
5. Do you offer telehealth?
Yes. We offer telehealth appointments for eligible clients, subject to clinical, insurance, and other applicable requirements.
6. Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We are an insurance-based mental health practice and work with participating insurance plans.

Because insurance participation can vary by therapist, service, location, and plan, we recommend contacting our office to confirm whether your specific insurance plan can be used for your requested service.

7. How often will I need therapy?
There isn’t one schedule that works for everyone.

Your therapist will work with you to determine an appropriate frequency based on your concerns, goals, treatment needs, and progress. Your treatment plan can also change as your needs change.

8. Do you provide emergency mental health services?
Our practice provides outpatient mental health services and is not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care.

If you are experiencing an immediate emergency or believe you may be in danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and need immediate support, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Your mental health starts with you. Let us help you on your journey.

(If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your local emergency room.)
